One of my first professional projects was illustration work for the manual of a sci-fi/fantasy tabletop roleplaying game: Galactic Conquest. The game was never released, but taught me so many valuable lessons I would carry on as I continued my career. These pieces are representations of the various races available to players. They each have unique traits and deep histories to give players great depth when building a character. I feel I could have been more ambitious with the designs, but they served their purpose.
